She won the 2004, Filmfare Sensational Debut Award for her performance in Tarzan: The Wonder Car and Dil Maange More. She is a Mumbaite and comes from a mixed family. Her father is Gujarati, and her mother is half British and half Maharashtrian. She is a vegetarian. Ayesha had to learn Hindi to do films, but only needed to learn diction because she came from a family where they speak more English at home.

In her free time, she enjoys listening to stories, listening to music, reading, spending time with family, long drives, and sitting at cafes over conversation with people she likes. She has done ads since age 4. By now she has done 60 ads. Her first Music Video was Phalguni Pathak's "Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye" when she was 15. Then came "Shake it Daddy" which brought her lot of recognition. 'Socha na tha' is the first movie she signed up for. But it got delayed and her other movie 'Tarzan' claimed as Ayesha's first movie in Bollywood. She has also worked in Telgu movie 'Super' which released in January 2006.

Ayesha Takia is one of the most gorgeous and beautiful actress in the bollywood. Ayesha Takia was born in Bombay on April 10th 1986. She was dating Farhan Azmi and the wedding bells are ready to ring for this couple very soon. She was also part of two music videos – Falguni Pathak’s Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye and DJ Aqeel’s Shake It Daddy. Ayesha was first offered Socha Na Tha with Abhay Deol and then Tarzan:The Wonder Car in 2004.
