One Night At DJ Station Bangkok 3

This April we were in Bangkok again for the annual Songkran festival, where the time honoured tradition of sprinkling water as blessing has turned into a soaking carnival of water-gun wars involving both locals and tourists. This mix is a collection of mixes heard at DJ Station, a popular club that stayed packed every single night when we were there. I would like to dedicate this mixset to Allenn aka Oh Sure Princess Kim. Thanks Allenn for being such a wonderful friend and also helping us to book the hotel in Bkk.

One Night At G-A-Y/ Heaven London featuring Kylie

About two months ago we were in London and popped over to "Heaven", a major watering hole "under the arches" in the Embankment area (we took almost two hours to find it when it was right in front of our noses!) While there, we were extremely lucky to see Kylie perform one night only with her dancers, as she belted out songs from her latest album and several of her older hits. One Night At DJ Station Bangkok 2

Slightly more than a month ago we were in Bangkok for Songkran, the Thai new year which is symbolised by acts of splashing water onto friends and strangers as a form of blessing. During this time every year, Bangkok melts into a portpurri of no-holds barred fun, merry making and celebration. All social guards are down, and everyone seems to just celebrate life for what it is.
How things have changed within the space of a month.
Our prayers go out there to those who are just caught in the middle of all the craziness of what happened, for a peaceful and quick resolution to the crisis, and for Bangkok to return to the City of Smiles that we've always loved.
This mix is a collection of songs we heard during one of our visits to DJ Station, a favourite night haunt in the city at Silom. We dedicate this to Kapree, one of our new friends there, and also a frequent visitor to our blog ever since.

One Night At Market Place Kuala Lumpur

Last month, I went to Kuala Lumpur (KL) Malaysia with my friend Shang. Let me tell you KL is the place to shop especially during their megasales :) The food in KL is yummilicious :) If you happen to go to KL do check out Madam Kwan's... their Chicken Rice, Satay, Nasi Lemak is Fabulous... And as usual I will check out the music scene wherever I go... So I went to Market Place on Saturday located along Jalan Yap Kwan Seng. I love the layout of the club... there's of course the dancefloor which can get a bit crowded and there's also the roof terrace where is a great place to relax and chat with old friends or make new friends. One Night At Bear Village Taipei

Last week I was in Taiwan and I had a great time! There are lots of interesting places to visit, like the mountains etc. The food selling at the night markets was delicious and cheap. You can check out the pictures on my Facebook. :) As ususal I will always check out the club scene wherever I travel. There's quite a number of clubs in Taipei. The music varies from one another other: "Luxy" plays RnB, "Jump" plays Trance, "Funky" plays a mixture of Chinese and English pop song, etc. But what I like most was the Red Theatre (Hong Lou) Square in this district called Ximending. The Red Theater area consist of several pubs and has become quite the popular, gay-friendly hangout throughout the week or on weekend nights. Lots of "bears" frequent there and now the Red Theater area is known as Bear Village. One Night In Dubai

Last month I went to Dubai for a short getaway... And let me tell you Dubai is Beau-ti-ful... I've fallen in love with Dubai... Their shopping mall "Dubai Mall" is the biggest mall in the world. It took us 3 days to complete the mall. Can you imagine how huge the mall is!! The Dubai Tower "Burj Khalifa" is the tallest tower in the world. Construction began on 21 Sep 2004 and the building officially opened on 4 Jan 2010. Dubai is also well known for it huge Musical Fountain. It's simply amazing!! You will be mesmerised by the water and lights display... Check out my Dubai photos on Facebook. :)
I've been to a few pubs/clubs in Dubai to check out the music scene. In general, the style of music has a unique blend of Western meets Eastern, such as electronic musical instruments with traditional Middle Eastern instruments. One Night At Zirca Singapore

Last week I was in Singapore visiting friends. And during my stay in Singapore I bumped into Ricky (Banner Competition Winner) from HK who was also in town for holiday :) Here are some pictures of me and my friends in Singapore.

A good place to party on a Sunday night is at Zirca which is located at Clarke Quay. The club is also very spacious and the lighting effect is awesome. I had a great time at the club with my friends.

One Night At DJ Station Bangkok

Two weeks ago I was in Bangkok for Songkrang (Water Festival), and every year without fail I will attend this event. This 3 day event (13 Apr to 15 Apr) attracts people all over the world to celebrate Thailand's New Year. I had an AWESOME time during the Water Festival with my Super Soaker 2000 at Koasan and Silom. Also when you are in Bangkok is a MUST to visit "DJ Station". This 3 storey club is located along Silom Soi 2. It's FULL House every night!! There's a 30 mins drag show starts at 11.30 pm and I must say the show is Fabulous. The music the DJ spins is Excellent too.
